I just had a customer contact me with a less than detailed description of her daughter's cake for this weekend. She is certain that she wants a 1/2 sheet cake...simple, yet elegant. She likes minimal colors...monochromatic or two at the most. This is fora child, but she wants something stylish, again, simple, yet elegant. I'm thinking of doing the pale pink route with Cornelli lace and gumpaste bows and name banner. What do you think? She mentioned wanting something "standing" up on the cake, but wasn't sure what. What about the child's name on cutout gumpaste hearts on wires? Any thoughts? You'd think it would be easy to come up with a simple sheet cake idea, but I don't have a great deal to go on...that's why I'm here. LOL.

Thanks!!!
