Advice Asap..okay To Freeze (Scratch) Cheesecake???
Baking By sliceofheaven Updated 20 Feb 2007 , 12:44am by sliceofheaven
A client wants a large cheesecake, but since it's just her and her DH, wanted to know if she could freeze it for individual servings. I told her I would do some "research" (CC ![]()
) and would get back w/her. Can you also freeze (scratch made) caramel sauce? If it matters.....the cheesecake is double chocolate turtle. Will the chocolate IN the cheesecake also freeze okay? as well as the caramel sauce on top? If need be I can give her the sauce separate to keep in the fridge..but for "presentation" wanted to keep it on the cheesecake. I've seen many store brands frozen...but didn't know if preservatives, etc made that difference. TIA!!!! ![]()

Cheesecakes freeze beautifully! I do it all the time with every flavour I make. Just make sure they are wrapped properly and it will absolutely fine.
I don't know about the caramel sauce, but you can definitely freeze cheesecake, I have done it for years!
That was my thought exactly candy120 ![]()

I told her (jokingly) that I didn't know how it would freeze.......I've never had one last that long ![]()
