I need enough to cover a square 14", 10", 6" and 4".

I was thinking a 15lb pail would do it.

I can get it local for $60. Does this seem to be a good deal? Or do you know of a place I can get it a little less.

Thanks~

I spent about $56 for 15 pounds here. Check around online/google etc and see if it's worth it from somewhere else, with shipping.

www.bakedeco.com
www.intotheoven.com

both of these websites i can get a 20lb bucket of satin ice for around $65 including shipping (depends on your zip) fast shipping.

i love that you can put satin ice in the fridge ( i did it the other day on a two tier cake and it didnt have the slightest prob with condensation...the manufacturers say on the website it can be refrigerated also)

www.satinfinefoods.com look at the handling instructions tab...and you will see the list showing how many ounces needed per size of cake. you'll get a good idea of how much you do need.

the 60dollars local - is that pettinice? satin ice doesnt sell in15lb buckets that i am aware of. if the 60 is for satin ice, it would be a20 lb bucket, in which case, that is an excellent deal.
