Gumpaste or MMF?
I need to make 2 flags for a cake for Saturday and how can I get them to dry faster if this is pushing it?

I've never used MMF but gumpaste dries quickly, especially if rolled thin.

Add tylose into your fondant (of course I guess it might be too last minute?) and it will dry hard enough to use overnight!

I find when I use MMF it doesn't dry very quickly at all... you'd be better off doing gumpaste or a mixture. If you're concerned about timeline and you have a food dehydrator, that works really great to speed things up!

I made four flowers last night, 2 fantasy and 2 carnations, and they are almost hard. I mixed 1/2 gumpaste and 1/2 MMF and it seemed to work okay. It has been almost 24 hours. Hope that helps.

In my experiments, I have found that gumpaste dries much quicker than MMF.
