I am making a carousel cake from the 2007 Wilton's Yearbook. The instructions call for adding gum tex in the fondant. Our local Michael's store does not carry it, and I need to make it in a couple of days. Do you have to use gum tex with the fondant? I am worried about making the awning and not having it look good. HELP!

I am surprised Michaels did not have GumTex - maybe ask if it is just out of stock. It is used to make the fondant dry faster and a bit harder
