Hi Y'all,

Do I put the cyrstals on before or after I bake the NFSC? I just can't think this morning. Someone please enlighten me, as to when and how do do this? Please!!

Thank you in advance for your help!

I like to put sugar crytsals on before baking. It seems to make less of a mess (they stick on better).

I just purchased a vintage Martha Stewart cookie cutter, and the booklet that came with it give it gives cookie decorating instructions. For sugar crystals, she recommends baking the cookies first. After cooling, brush the cookie with meringue/egg powder mixed with water (follow your brand's instructions) and then sprinkle the sugar on.

If you put them on after baking, they will have to be brushed with something to keep the crystals "glued" on.
