That sounds devine! I've got a cream puff recipe that uses a vanilla bavarian cream. The cream recipe calls for a cup of hot milk. I'm wondering if that could be replaced with eggnog?!?! Might be worth a try.

Mvgil, was the cream puff eggnog flavored or the cream inside it eggnog flavored
I made a week ago for a get together with my friends and they were great hit.
I just filled them with almond pastry cream, pineapple cream and vanilla whipped cream and covered them with caramel ...so good!!!

For all those interested, here is the recipe that I have.

Cream Puffs

1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 450. Combine shortening and boiling water. Stir over low heat. Add flour and salt all at once and beat until smooth. Remove from heat and add eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously. Drop by tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes, lower oven temperature to 350, and bake 20 minutes more. Remove from oven and cool. Prepare filling.

Vanilla Bavarian Cream

1 env. unflavored gelatin
2 Tbsp. cold water
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup hot milk (replace with eggnog)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Combine gelatin and water and set aside. In a saucepan, mix together egg yolks and sugar. Slowly add the hot milk (eggnog) and stir well. Cook over low heat and stir in gelatin. Mix until dissolved. Add vanilla. Cool. Fold in whipped cream. Cut open cream puffs and fill with cream. Drizzle with chocolate glaze if desired. Store in refrigerator.

I have not personally made these, but I've eaten them. I would assume that you could pipe the puff mixture out of a pastry bag if you wish, perhaps even make some into eclairs. I wouls also think that if you try it with the eggnog, I would add some nutmeg in there somewhere.

Good luck, and let me know how they turn out.
