Hi...I was just wondering if anyone has done either a bridal and a craft show.
First for the craft show: I am thinking about the kind of samples I want to put out. I was thinking it would be good to give free samples, but only 1 kind of cake (like my chocolate fudge with chocolate ganache). However, maybe I should be doing a bigger variety.
Also, for the bridal show, I was thinking about 3 or 4 sample flavors, but not sure what is usually done. Any suggestions??
Thanks!
Ellen
When i do a show in England I have 3 fully decorated dummy cakes which I put on the table. I usually bake a Rich fruit cake and a chocolate cake to give out as samples. Make sure you have plenty of business cards with you
If you are going to do a craft show, I'm assuming that you are wanting to make some money during the craft show, even if it's just to cover your booth charge, right? Instead of just making samples of various flavors of cakes, why not make some cupcakes of various flavors to sell as well? Experience has taught me that if they really like the flavor of something they will want a bigger peice of what they want. Make sure you have a portfolio of your work and maybe have a drawing for a SMALL cake in a flavor they choose, which, of course, should be one of your specialty flavors.

I wish I could help you here....I have not done anything like this with my cakes, but I have done a few craft "shows" with my crafts that I do...and for the school's Christmas shop....... but I am sure that will be great... I love your ideas!
