Does Mmf Harden

Does MMF harden like Wilton's Fondant. I want to cut out some trees and would like to let them dry overnight then stand them up. i am able to do this with wilton's but really want to try the MMF, since everyone has been bragging about it. icon_smile.gif

In my experience with MMF, it hardens, but not as hard as the store bougnt stuff hardens overnight. You might want to make a backup out of store bought fondant in case it doesn't work out. But on the upside MMF tastes A LOT better than the store bought stuff, that makes me want to barf. icon_lol.gif

It won't harden enough to stand up if you don't add tylose powder!

MMF will harden but it takes about twice as long as regular fondant. Sometimes, if it is really humid, it may never actually get "hard." The thicker the fondant, the longer it will take to harden.

Where can i get that and how much do i add to the recipe?

Is Tylose the same as gum tex? If not you can add gum tex too to make it harden.

also, will it still taste good with the addition of tylose or gum tex ??
