I want to try this kind of cake. I would like to do a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Two questions. Do you think death by chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream is do much chocolate? or to heavy?

Also I know some of you guys cut the piroutte's which I will too,so how many layers would you do? at least two?

I am thinking also of doing raspberry in the middle like indigojods did in her blueberry cake witch is beautiful.

I made a triple chocolate fudge cake with dark chocolate BC and choc piroutte cookies for someone at x-mas (who is an absolute chocoholic) and she LOVED it. The photo is in my pics. If you like chocolate, I say go for it! The cake that I did was 2- 10" layers with filling.

Yes, she is. The whole family are MAJOR chocoholics! They frequently order cakes from me and they are ALWAYS chocolate- they have tried the other flavors but always go back to the chocolate. I have 3 cakes to do for her in the next month... you guessed it.... triple chocolate fudge with dark choc BC.

My husband is a major chocoholic...his favorite cake balls are devils food cake with chocolate fudge bc, dipped in DARK chocolate.

NEVER too much chocolate for him! It sounds extremely rich and will be gorgeous!

ok you guys convinced me to do all chocolate. I am the person in charge of making birthday cakes at work and the next one is coming up soon. Might have to make a run to the food store to try my hand at this.
