Stand Up Fondant Or Gumpaste Name?

I have seen some great cakes in the galleries that have either gumpaste or fondant that has been shaped into names that look like script. Then they stand up on the cake.
Has anyone done these? I can't seem to find any now that I am looking for them and I'd like to make one for an upcoming cake. I'm not sure how to make it or how to get it to stand up on the cake.

sorry I dont have a pic to show u,but I used gumpaste and my sugargun.
I printed out the name in the size and font I liked, then pushed the gumpaste through the sugargun, and placed it on the printed letters. Pushed a few toothpick through some parts, then left it to dry for several days. Lift it up carefully and stick it on the cake. I made a few spares, just in case one broke. I think shorter names are a lot easier, so the next time I do a longer name, Im going to try to make it in two parts.
