Is this possible? I made a 12x18 cake today for my son's birthday party tomorrow. It's completely decorated but now the weather has gotten bad and we may have to cancel the party for tomorrow. If this does happen, can I save the cake until next weekend?? Since it's completely decorated, can I just wrap it in the box somehow? Please help.

It's just half chocolate/white using the super enhanced recipe off this site with buttercream icing.
Thanks!

I froze a decorated cake a couple of weeks ago. Put it in a cake box and wrap really well with plastic wrap and heavy duty foil. It should be fine.
Hope this helps.

We froze our wedding cake topper by wrapping it in plastic, then newspaper, then plastic, etc.... and it tasted so good a year later!!!! The newspaper supposedly keeps all of the freezer stuff out.

The only thing I would add, is that you DO NOT unwrap it until it is completely defrosted, so give it plenty of time..... You do that, so that the condensation from the thawing goes on the wraping instead of gathering on your cake.......

I also freeze. It works well in a pinch. The only things that sometimes happens is if you have a real dark color ontop of white, it sometimes bleeds. Tastes the same though!
