Hello All:

Trying a new recipe that calls for milk and I'm out of whole milk. Can I use carnation milk or fat free half and half for the milk. It ask for 1 1/2 cups.
I will appreciate any help.

Thanks,

It is my understanding, that you can dilute the evaporated milk with water, for example: 8 oz. evaporated milk and 8 oz. water, and is like milk. I have done this before with no problems. Sometimes in baking, if I am short on milk I just use the evaporated milk without diluting it. Hope this helps.

I use Carnation milk in my chocolate cakes, I like them and gooey and moist. But I haven't tried it in anything else. Good luck icon_smile.gif
