How many servings do you need? If there's alot, I would probably make a sheet cake and then do 3D versions of stacked money on top of it. Are you going to use fondant or buttercream? If buttercream, you could use a frosting comb to get the affect of stacked money (visually) from the sides of the stacks. Do you have edible image capabilities? You could easily put an image of a bill on top of each stack.
What are you thinking of doing?
I think two different stacks of money would be cool...two differnent heights as well. I don't think I would line them up side by side, but rather askew. If you use fondant, a few round circles cut out and dried to look like change might be cute- gold, silver or copper luster dust would be even better.
I'd go two or three inches on one stack and maybe a little higher on the other. I usually add some drinking straws cut to size to add more stability when I am stacking more than two layers high. (Like the Glamour Bag in my gallery...it is actually three layers high).
If you are using buttercream, I have found that you can use wooden shishkabob skewers to make straight lines on the side of a cake too- to look like pages in a book or STACKS OF MONEY!!!!!
Good luck and have fun!!! Don't forget to post those pics!!!

sorru i have taken so long to get back to your questions i have been very busy at work. i love both of your ideas i think i am going to make a sheet cake with the stacks ontop made of buttercream i like the comb technique mentioned. thnak you for that. one more question, how should i design the sheet cake it will prob. be a 1/4 sheet. thanks in advance.
I like the idea of adding coins around the stacks of money made out of fondant! If you have an airbrush, you could color the whole cake a light shade of green with white borders maybe. I'm sure you will be writing some kind of saying on it as well. This may be all you need. The art work of the money will be enough I think, and you don't want anything else taking away from it!
Good Luck, I can't wait to see a photo when you post it!
