I started with the hot knife method (not the kind you are thinking of Dale!) and hot water however I found that if I had coloured icing the water made the colours go all wonky.

Moved to the icer tip and hot knife, same thing.

Love the Viva method, works awesome however there is still a texture to it! To make it even smoother take a piece of computer paper and smooth it again. Just like a baby's bottom! icon_razz.gif

Alright geeyanna!! Where are you? Now I have someone to go to the concerts with!! The last two times I got to see Rick Springfield in concert I had to beg my girlfriends to go with me AND pay for their ticket! It was so worth it though!!

I made the crusting cream cheese icing from here today with cinnamon added in and it was great-put it on a spice pecan cake-yum! I have to thank the person who said you have to make sure everything is room temp or it just doesn't come out right/crust because that was the trick!! I didn't have viva but the paper towels I had left a nice pattern anyhow!

Happy Turkey Day everyone!!

Any ole computer paper ya got will do the trick. Just use it like you would the Viva and you'll be surprised what a difference it makes right after using the Viva.
