I love the big border! It was one of the first things that caught my eye (that and the cute little face in the center of the cake). I think it gives the cake a fun and whimsical look.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you, I think your cake is great! It is so sweet and I love the colors. BUT, always remember, we are our worst critic. Any one buying a cake from you doesn't see the things we see as we are looking at something we created. If there has been anything I didn't like about something I created, I always make a mental note so that I don't repeat it. I am a firm believer in LIVE, LEARN, GROW!

The cake looks good, for clarification, you DO NOT have to blur out peoples faces if they are apart of the cake....i.e. frosting photos. You only have to blur or crop if the person say is holding the cake or is blowing out candles. There is a link to clarify this on the upload page.

If you want it to look more child like then maybe you could sprinkle some confetti on as posted earlier.....or maybe make a couple of balloons on it... I think it's a cute cake.

So what if it is crooked. The cake is absolutly beatuiful and no one will notice that part. I agree with you are your worst critic, I do the same thing.

I think it is lovely. I love the colour combinations as they are subtle. If they match the invitations then you don't have a problem at all.
I think the buyer will be very happy with the results. Give yourself a break. People who don't do this will not see the flaws you do.

Thanks everyone!
freddyfl- I totally misunderstood the comment about blurring faces. All this time I've been disfiguring the people on my cakes unnecessarily! I didn't realize it meant someone holding the cake or blowing out the candles. DUH!

I agree that the cake looks really nice, except the border is the first thing that caught my eye. Just seemed a little overwhelming for the rest of the cake IMO.
