Yikes! Which way do the cartridges go in? Orange part up? Or down?

Which printer are you using? I'm guessing it's the iP3000 or higher? If so, the edible ink cartridges are installed the same way as regular ink cartridges. Here's a pic that shows installation or you can refer to the instructions that came with your printer.

If you're using a 2 cartridge printer, the only orange part would be the caps that should be removed before installing. The end that was capped goes down.

It's actually the IP6000. It wasn't the one I wanted but..long story.
Thanks Lisa.

Hi I can't help you with your question, but let me know how you like it. My DH doesn't think that I should get a printer they no longer make so I think he is thinking of getting me this one from staples. The edible ink cost more for this one, but from what I can tell you get more images from it. If DH gets it for me I'll be happy with it and use it. If I get my own I will probably get the IP3000.

Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow. Let me know how you like the 6000. I have the 3000 and love it. I can't believe they are discontinuing it.

Thanks everyone! I was panicking because I don't like to leave things until the last minute. My husband ended up helping me, I keep forgetting he knows a couple of things (lol). Anyway, I got my first edible image cake under my belt; thank goodness I have you guys for back up!

Peanut2, Were you pleased with how your image turned out? Are you happy with your printer decision. Inquiring minds want to know. I'm sure
your cake will turn out great. I'm just nervous about making a printer decision.

I think I am going to like this process. I'm going to take a nice bubble bath, collect my thoughts, and then make a thread about it. I have a lot to learn, I guess.
