What is the Wilton's Black that Cali4Dawn is talking about in her foot note(step 4)? Is it regular color paste or some kind of special black icing. I am confused because then she goes on and says it does not smudge as badly as homemade buttercream. Can someone please explain!!

I think she is talking about the tubes of different colored icing Wilton sells... I know I've seen them on the baking aisle with other 'decorating' stuff. The have threaded tops so you can attach tips with couplers.

I've used my regular (all crisco) buttercream colored back with out any problem at all for the transfers.

I just did a Spongebob outlined with the black b/c icing and didn't have any problems.

The last tube of black that I brought was watery...couldn't figure that out.

Thanks everyone. Now I am gonna go buy the tube of black icing. Gonna try to make a Hot Wheels Logo(FBCT) for my sons birthday cake.
