I just had to share this with you guys!!
There was a post recently about unappreciative (sp) customers not appreciating our decorating and Inhad to tell this story.
Almost a month ago this customer called and placed an order for two cakes; Spongebob Under the Sea and the Blue Power Ranger cake. She just picked the Spongebob up and was totally surprised and happy with the cake.
She was almost crying in the house saying
Oh my God, Oh my God, it is so pretty, I don't even want to cut it. I should go to Food Lion and buy one so that I won't have to cut this. I can't wait to get home and call everybody to come over and see it. I am going to use a whole roll of film taking pictures of it.
When we were putting the cake in the car, she started crying...honest to God, she was crying and repeating how much she liked the cake.
To me, it just looked like my average cake decorating.
But I must admit, deep down inside, it made me feel so good 
I am doing her a Blue Power Ranger for her other son's birthday also which is due Dec. 10. I asked her if she still wanted the cake and was told that she did and can't wait to see that one.

She is a referral from my beautician whom I did the Crawling Baby cake for, said that she will be referring me to everyone that she knows.
That is a wonderful feeling! Just to know that your hard work is appreciated. Savor this time and draw on it when you get one of those just "thank you" and that's it.

I'll be using the Power Ranger pan so there isn't much that I can do on that one.

I think it's "the icing on the cake" when our customers show that they appreciate our work (sorry, for the pun, I couldn't help it). You did a great job! You should be proud!

I've had them make nice comments...ohhh,ahhh things like that, but this is the first time I had one to cry.
I have used the power rangers cake pan before and the customer loved it. I think we as decorators do not like the character pans as much as our customers do. I think your customer is going to love it.
You might ask what color is the child's favorite. For my son...it would have to be RED!
