I have made several square cakes but I have a bride that wants a 8, 10, 12, and 14" square with flowers between each tier. WShat is the best plates and columns to use? I have several round sets but no square. What do you all use with the best outcome?

i haven't made one like this, but wouldn't your round columns work just fine since the flowers will hide them anyway? just a thought.

Square plates with the push-in pillars (the kind that push down right into the cake below). I've done square cakes on round plates and those will work .... but on the larger cakes, I'm apprehensive about the corners of the larger cakes not having the support they would need. I'm confident they wouldn't break off or anything .... but if a slight "droop" would result, then the icing might crack and spoil the smooth look. icon_confused.gif
