I just started doing the cookie flow and I love it. I was wondering if anyone ever added clear flavorings when they added the water to thin it? I was thinking maybe a hint of cherry extract would give it a little zip.

Has anyone done this? I think it would be fine but since it's cookies for a baby shower I was a little reluctant to try it on cookies for someone else and I really don't have time to test it out.

thanks

I have heard other people talk about adding flavoring to their cookies and icing both. I usually just put vanilla in the cookies and sometimes a little almond flavoring. I haven't added anything to the icing, but am sure it wouldn't hurt.

I always add clear vanilla flavoring to my RI recipe and it's delicious. I add it when I'm making the icing not when I need to thin it though. HTH

I like to add almond extract to the icing when I mix it. My cookies have both vanilla and almond extract added.

Thanks for your help. I'm going to try using a little vanilla in the RI. I just think it needs a little something.

I'm making it tomorrow so I'll let you know how it turns out.
