Okay I just stuck a 12" square cake in the oven. It baked for like 30 mins before I realized I forgot to add the almond flavor to it. Is there any way I can add it after it's baked through?

What about making a simple syrup and adding some almond flavor to that and brush it on the cake when it comes out of the oven. I think simple syrup is equal parts of granulated sugar and water. Heat on low just until the sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and add your flavoring.
