I am looking for a rectangular cake tin that is roughly 40cm on the long side. Can any UK people suggest high street style shops that might stock either that specific type of tin, or are known to have a good selecition of cake stuff so I could go and check for myself? (I have access to London and Manchester, as well as oxford before the cake needs doing, so should be able to find most chain stores).

I didnt think it should be too dificult to find one, but the best I've found in Oxford so far is a square tin or a rectangular baking tray. Good thing I started planning this one early.

I had a look and i couldn't find one but i found a roasting tray in John Lewis that will work fine.
Its extra large 42cm

The only other thing i can reccomend is using a square cake tin and cutting in to a rectangle.

Design a cake in washington do a square tin but it has interlocking dividers in it so you can set them to any size square or rectangle you like. They do mail order
