Just wanted to share that I found a place to open a shop. It's 1500 square feet. Will have to be remodeled as it is just an empty space now with a bathroom and a small offce, but is laid out just perfect! $850.00 a month, only thing I pay is electric and phone. I am so excited. In my area rent/lease rates are crazy so this is just perfect.
Now, I just have to find a bank who will lend me some money to get started! That's the scary part. I will quit my full time job now that pays for everything (I'm single). But, I am excited anyway.

Thank you all for the encouragement. I have been in contact with the codes department and have a lot to do there, but I'm ready for it. I'll keep you posted on what all happens! It truly is exciting but stressful at the same time! I appreciate all the encouragement this site provides! The people are GREAT!
Congrats Melissa! I have found if something is meant to be it will come easily for the most part. You have a great start with finding a building at such a good price for your area so with your energy and enthusiasm I have no doubt the rest will come to you too. The Lord knows your heart and will meet the desires of your heart. It is only up to you to follow it! You go girl!!!

Oops, sorry, forgot to answer that question. I am in MO. The shop will be in a small town, Harrisonville, MO just south of Kansas City, Lee's Summit, Belton (very large cities)
Thanks for the advise. There is a local newspaper and several schools and office buildings. I will definately be promoting at those venues.
