Ok, its a new year and I want to switch up and try a new icing recipe using egg whites. Does anyone use an icing recipe that calls for eggs whites instead of shortening?

I use Duff Goldman's French Buttercream Icing recipe. I love it. It is the easiest icing I have ever made. Here is the FN link to it.

I use them for SMBC and for Royal. I only used pasteurized egg whites though.

Would this be a refrigerated icing?

Yeah. I use it a lot. Boiled icing, meringue icing or sometimes called marshmallow icing. This is my medium for this is the only applicable icing for tropical countries in asia.
