i only had 8 cakes today....so i went over to check on the place in a 2 hour gap i had in the day.

I think that's a great idea! Everyone will know your shop that way. Some distant relatives have a German restaurant in the little town my parents grew up in. It's a Victorian house painted pink. Can't miss it!
I think you made a wise choice about keeping it too. We live in a 1920s ranch that has seen better days, but I love the character; arched doorways, french doors, lots of old wood, and neat hinges on the doors and windows. I wouldn't give that up for anything.
Anyone know what happened with this one? I would love to see pictures of the new and improved shop!!!
