Hello,
I am making my son a Spider-Man cake for his 4th birthday party, but I wanted to add a web that can stand on its own, not piped on the cake. I had thought about making one out of sugar...had seen something like this done on the Food Network, but no sign of it on their website...
Anyone know how to do this or have other ideas?

BTW, my son is allergic to milk in all forms...thanks!

You could try asking a cc user in the candy making/ sugar forum. The only thing I can think of other than sugar would be RI. Hhhmm.???

I saw a spiderman cake once that was a hexagon cake done for the base. it had web piped on it. then they took the 3d egg pan and used half an egg to do the face and laid it on the web. I was going to do one of these my self but could find the egg pan. That the only idea i have . sorry
