I had a birthday last week Thursday and we were on vacation so my hubby didn't get me a gift. Well yesterday he told me to go and get myself a KA mixer for my birthday and valentines day!!!!!!!!!! I think it is awesome. I got to pick out the one I want and the color. So I picked out a black 5 qt artisan. Now I want to bake soooo bad. Good think my niece has her 2nd birthday next Friday. I am goign to make her a bert and ernie cake. I am so excited.

Congrats! That's the KA I have (except yellow)--you're going to love it! It makes such a nice difference, especially w/ mixing icing or fondant!

How lucky! I'm still dreaming of the day I'll own a KA. For some reason I picture myself wearing one of those puffy dresses that Lucille Ball wore when she was making a mess in the kitchen.

It wasn't really needing his ok to get it. We just talk about all the big purchases we make and he told me that for m birthday and valentines day that is what he was going to get me and I should go and pick it out. Since he works nights it is pretty tought for him to go shopping. But hey, I'm not complaining. So now I suppose I will have to give in and let him buy a ice fishing house.
