Do you have access to or have Molds. You could do quicck and easy sugar molds. CHocolate molds are fun. Just ideas anyway.

I did a circus cake for my daughter a couple years ago and used those frosted animal cookies you buy at the store.

Decorated circus animal cookies are another option. I've seen alot of cakes with animals, etc made out of color flow on them, they look amazing!!! Just another idea.

When is the cake due? If you have a while, you could practice working with MMF. If I can do it, believe me, ANYONE CAN!!!!! Get your self a book called Fun-tastic Clay Critters, by Nancy Overmyer. you will find it in the clay section at michaels, or some of the other hobby stores. It has very easy to follow directions and pictures of lots of animals. You can use candy clay also. I know you will do great! ( I peeked at your cakes)!!

There is a chocolate mold available with elephants, giraffes adn lions, maybe something else. I did some for my son's first birthday 6 years ago. That was more of a jungle theme, but this would work fo ryou, I'm sure!

Good luck!

I have not worked with fondant a lot either but I did a baby shower cake that is in my photos that came out pretty well. I just copied the napkin on my scanner - if you don't have a napkin with animals you could just find some cute ones online - and then I cut them out and traced around them onto some fondant that I had colored and rolled out flat. I then took some scraps to make stripes, noses, ect. It really wasn't that hard and I thought it came out pretty well. Check it out in my photos and good luck! icon_biggrin.gif
