Just read where Melvira, our Mistress of Darkness, was involved in an accident today and had to be extracted from the car by the jaws of life.
I would like to wish her a speedy recovery and hope that everyone will chime in.
Diane
hope she recovers soon!!
Will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers
When I read this chills rain up my spine.
I hope you are doing good Melvira. I recently went through a tragic experience with my brother. He was in a horrifing accident after Thankgiving. I know what our family has been through. I pray for you and your recovery. But I pray you are fine and have walked away with no scratches. Hugs for you to help you get better ![]()
My thoughts and prayers are with her. God will give her a miraculous healing in Jesus name (Amen).
Diane, have you heard anything yet? Where did you read about this? Have been thinking about Melvira all day and hoping to get some more news. I really hope she's ok and her family as well. Please keep us updated. I'll be off to bed soon, but really hoping for some good news in the morning, I just can't stop thinking about her
So sorry to hear about this. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
Looks like Melvira is getting along okay so far and is enjoying her morphine and vicodin cocktail. http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=107531&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=135.
I pray when her happy drugs wear off she stays in such good spirits until she is back to 100%.
This is what I love about cake central. Caring people. THis has actually just giving me chills knowing how much the people here care.
Melvira I wish you a speedy recovery & good health!! ![]()
Hi everyone! I was just told about this thread and wanted to pop in and say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being the fantastic and caring people that you are!! Here's what happened in case you're interested...
I was driving my mother to a colonoscopy appt. and sitting at a red light. It turned green and I slowly pulled out into the intersection. It was slick and Mom was feeling awful due to the stuff you have to drink before the appt. so I was going pretty slow, it's not like I floored it the second the light turned! Anyway, I got out into the intersection and a car coming from the other direction ran the light at full speed and rammed directly into us right where I was sitting (driver). It crushed the door in on top of me over a foot they said later. I was pinned, and they had to use the jaws of life to get me out. That sounds SO dramatic!! Anyway, they took us to the hospitla where my mother was quickly assessed and released, as was my younger cousin who was with us (backseat). Thank JESUS the baby was not in the car. I told the paramedic that I would not have been so calm if the baby had been there, I'd have been wigging out! Anyway, I was in full brace until they established there were no broken bones or internal injuries. Cuts, scrapes, serious muscular injuries, and glass in every inch of my clothing, eyes, ears, etc. I was released last night and sent home with some serious drugs coursing through me, and a prescription to keep me that way!
I have to say, for being so miserable, I'm feeling pretty good right now! I still hurt, but I'm so high on the pain pills that I don't really care! Hahahaha!! Isn't that awful! It doesn't stop the pain, it just makes you feel like pain is ok! For the next few days I am going to be rather miserable, but someone will be home with me to take care of the baby so I can rest and hang out here!! ![]()
Again, God bless all of you for thinking of me, and for caring about me. It just shows what kind of wonderful people are here, and that I am SO lucky to be a part of this place!!
Melvira,
I posted in the other thread also. I am so glad to hear that you are okay. It is a miracle that you weren't seriously injured. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.
Thanking the Lord for protecting you and your family.
