Has anyone seen the Wilton Race Car cake pan? On that cake, where should I write "happy birthday" at?

I have only used it once and I wrote the happy birthday on the roof of the car. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

I have seen several cakes where the message was written on the cake board.

If you put the cake on a rectangular cake board, you can do the writing on the cake board!

When I'm making cakes like this, where there isn't a lot of space, I'll "write" the message on the front side of the cake. Since my cake writing is bad and even worse on the sides, I cut the letters from fondant/candy clay, moisten the back with water and then attach them to the sides. You can see a couple example in my photos.

You can't really tell from the thumbnails in my photos. Here's a pic of what I mean...

Writing on the cake board is a great idea too!
