Somewhere on the forum I saw a reference to making roses using Hershey kisses for the base. Since I don't have a #12 tip, yet, I'd love to try kisses--besides what a "sweet" treat for anyone eating the rose!

Anyone know where the instructions for this are?

Thanks!

The same as making your roses with the Number 12 tip. No changes.

Put a little icing on the bottom of your kiss to hold to nail and then make the same way as a regular rose. The kiss just gives it a stabler base to work with for those of us who have problems with their bases, and as you said it is a great little treat to find inside. I use the hershey hugs, the white chocolate kisses, unless I am making chocolate roses.

you can also stick a toothpick into the kiss and use that as your nail...you just have to make sure that it's not lodged in too tight when you are trying to free the rose off the toothpick...or you will have a flying rose land in inconvenient places around the house....mine landed in my dog's mouth! icon_biggrin.gif
