My Daughter Wants A Rollerskate Cake...

My daughter's birthday is next month and we're having a rollerskating party for her. Naturally, she wants a rollerskate cake. Yikes! Of course, she wants a 3-D one. I'm not sure how to begin, except to just stack, freeze, and mold the cakes into shape.

Has anyone else made one or know how to make one? I'm a little stumped. Thanks!

If you go to that site listed above, theres a really cute roller skate upload by Bellejoey. She tells about it, theres 3 different photos of it. maybe that would give you an idea...[/u]

Wow, those are both great! I was originally leaning toward the 3-D version, but when I saw yours it gave me pause. I'm just not sure yet. Thank you!

I made this rollerskate cake by tracing a shoe onto cardboard and using that as a template to carve the shape.

i did one last weekend and it was A LOT harder than i thought it would be lol! it was hard to make it big enough for about 20 people w/out carving it all off! does that make sense hehe icon_biggrin.gif . good luck and remember to post it!
