When painting on fondant can you use regular paint brushes from the craft store or do you need special food brushes.

I use regular paint brushes...good quality ones though since the less expensive ones shed thumbsdown.gif So annoying trying to pull a paint brush fiber off sticky fondant. I only use these brushes for cakes. You wouldn't want to do any oil painting in between cakes icon_wink.gif

I use good-quality natural bristle brushes. They are much more flexible than the nylon brushes. Dedicate them to just your cakes and get a few sizes. My most used is a size 00 which is super tiny but I get the best detail work done with this.

Watch the Hobby Lobby ads. Sometimes they have 1/2 off of their paintbrushes.
