I need help on pricing a pound cake that's 12 x 18 x 3 with buttercream icing. It's for a 65th birthday and she wants the old 45 vinyl records on her cake, which I will probably do in fondant/gumpaste/candy clay (not sure yet). I also plan to make musical notes to represent music on the side of the cake. There will be a lot of detailed work on this so anybody have ideas on how much I should charge?

Thanks!

I've made an actual record player and it took alot of work and I really under charged. I charged $40 but next time I will charge maybe about $55-$60 only because it takes so much time.

Good Luck

I'm sorry to hear that. What medium did you use to make your record player?

it depends on your area, but just a plain 9x13 is $50 from me . . . so 12x18 at least $100 plus extra for the detailed fondant work.
