Any creative ideas for a bob the builder cake would be great. I don't want to use the Wilton pan. Thanks, Kim

did you check the gallery? There are a lot of Spongebob cakes that are done without the Wilton pan...I've never made one, but have seen alot of really cute ones on this site...

I did a Strawberry shortcake (SSC) with a homemade edibile image (No lisence for SSC in Canada). I enlarged a photo of SSC and traced it onto rice paper, colored it in with edible markers and thinned down paste gels. Placed it ontop of the cake (which was strawberry shortcake). You could mold little tools as well out of chocolate or MMF. The rice paper crinkles a bit on top of the cake, but everyone loved it.

You could do a construction scene cake and use some of the new Bob the Builder Legos on top. If you know the child, the legos could be part of your gift. If it's for a buyer, then this would be an expensive decoration.
