I've been wondering if you can use Tylose just like Gum-Tex? What I mean is -- can you mix the dry Tylose powder into already made fondant like you do with Gum-Tex?

Yes you can add tylo to already made fondant. Im not sure what gum-trex is, we probably call it something else in England. Hope that helped.

I've been wondering this as well. How much Tylose would you add to how much premade fondant? I just need to make a small item and don't want to turn a LOT of fondant into gumpaste.

Hope someone can help,

Just add alittle bit at a time until you get it how you want it, you dont need much.

I use Tylos powder a lot when making bows or figures. You only need a little bit (I use Satin Ice fondant). So maybe for a fist size ball of fondant, I add about a teaspoon. Knead really well. Any left overs need to be wrapped really well, because it will dry out very quickly.
