We Survived The Bridal Fair!!1

Here is our cake table for the bridal fair 2/11/07.
We brought both real cakes and fake cakes.
to see our display cakes look at the latest uploaded photos in my photo gallery.
We had sooo much fun!! I started out a little hoarse and now am completely hoarse. We ran out of cards and fliers and had to start writing our name and website on napkins. But people patiently waited for me to write it out.
Girls waited in line to get cake and look at the photo album. When our cake was gone they even wiped the cake serving plates clean.
You can't see our serving table in the photo but we had an 8 foot table with the cake being served, our printed info, photo album and a tri-fold panel with grooms cake photos attached.
We also stood the entire time, talked and laughed our lips chapped, ouch.
We also posted prices and flavors on our flier.
Only booked one consultation.
We were repetetively told we had the most creative cakes in the show and the Fleur des lei was probably the most popular but many comments on the 3 tiered baby's first birthday cake with a pink crown (smart move by my daughter)
Most girls were just filling the goodie bag to look over info later. The guys were impressed by the small tribute to grooms cakes on the tri-fold we displayed.

Love the colour of your cakes!
Hope you get great business from this! ![]()
Looks great!!! Looking at your pictures the one with the nine pillared cakes literally made me almost have a panic attack. I don't think I could ever have the nerve to do that!!!
Kristin
great job! Get ready for all the calls to be coming in very soon! The only bad thing is you'll be even more busy and wwe won't see you as much on here.
I sure hope we get busier then we can get ahead and schedule a real vacation!! ![]()
We had to make and deliver 220 king cakes for Saturday and then prepare for the show Sunday. Unfortunately and luckily we turned away all but 4 birthday cakes for Saturday. We got to the show with 25 minutes to get set up. What a rough week it was.
I'll let ya'll know if we get any orders from the Bridal Fair. We talked to alot of girls with weddings in 2008.
Thanks for the comments on the booth. ![]()
I wish everyday could be as much fun as Sunday was ![]()

I went to your website, the cakes and site are beautiful, very professional. You must be the queen of your whole state....... I bow to you! (no joking!) If you don't get a million requests from your bridal show (and hopefully all the brides will visit your site) I will be SHOCKED! I predict more business than you know what to do with.

I am not deserving of all those wonderful comments. But I'll accept them

When I look back at those pics... It weren't my hands at work. My prayer was "Lord, please let me create something the people will like. And let the cakes look good even if they are ugly.
thank you
