Please anyone who has made a wine bottle cake that appears o be standing up and not laying on a sheet cake..help!
i would like to know how you went about doing this.

Carol (cjf) made one of these. It's in the gallery. She used foil to make the neck of the bottle...iced right over it. I've also heard of people using a heating core.

..a hollow plastic dowel rod could be used for the neck of the bottle as well! Can't wait to see your pic!!

Thanks for teh advice, but i must admit I have no clue what a heating core is LOL

A heating core is a metal tube that is inserted to into large/high/deep cakes to ensure even cooking through out the cake. In the wonder mold/barbie cake pan there is one...
