I just went to AC Moore to get Gum-tex and the recipe on the bottle calls for Wilton Glucose. I did not buy the Glucose - I though I could just add the gum-tex to my marshmellow fondant. Do I have to actually make the recipe for gum-tex for it to work? TIA

I just add Gum-Tex directly to my fondant so it will harden. Have not ever used glucose and it worked fine.

The recipe on the side of the container is for making gumpaste. You don't have to make it to add it to your fondant.

I add gum-tex to fondant (Wilton pre-made) all the time. In the C3 book it tells you to add 1 tsp to 12 ozs of fondant. If I am playing with fondant and molding it into something I may add more than that.

Thank you for your speeding replies. I actually made the mmf about 3 weeks ago and I am going to practice with it.
