I am getting ready to make my first batch of mmf using the recipe on this site. I noticed that you can add melted white chocolate. Does that change the consistency and make it difficult to cover a cake? Also, is there anything else I can add to possibly make it taste not quite so marshmallowy - like butter flavor or vanilla, almond, etc.? I didn't know if that would break it down or not.
Thanks Nitu! I personally don't like marshmallows - unless they are roasted! so I kind of cringe at the thought of fondant. I have covered cakes with it before, but it was a fondant that I bought from a cake supply store (not Wilton) and thought it tasted a bit marshmallowy. Well, that and it was pretty expensive! Thought I would give this a try.
