i was looking at some pictures on the post and seen figures and flowers, ect. made from fondant and gumpaste. they are all so beautiful. is it difficult to sculpt things from these? because it looks very, very complicated. (i bought a box of fondant a while back, but i still have not tried using it.)
i have read where the taste of fondant is not very good, so if you cover a cake with it, does that mean it is only for looks?? you just peal it off, or if it is a sculpted piece, just remove it?

there is much debate on the taste of fondant. I know a lot of people that love the taste of the reg fondant, and others that dont care for it. So it will be a matter of taste for whom the cake is for. Maybe you can have the person ordering that cake taste the fondant before serving it (give him or her a small taste "chip") so that it could be their opinion.
