Hey everyone!! It's been awhile since I've asked anything.. But IM BACK!!! LOL
Well my sister AGAIN volunteered me to bake free stuff!! I'm ok with it though it's for the Texas Children Choir Bake Sale.. My question is, what kind of stuff do I bake for a bake sale? I'm clueless!! I mean, I know I cant add any characters or any logos.. Being they will be saleing the baked items.. Has anyone donated to a bake sale? If so, what did you donate? TIA

Bake sales are EASY! Just make tasty stuff that travels well (like Brownies, donuts, etc.) Nothing gooey or sloppy because people stand around eating or buy several things and take off. Hope that helps some! Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

For the bake sales at my kids' school, I usually bake a themed cake (ghost at Halloween, snowman at Christmas, etc...) and they're usually snapped up first thing. For some reason people just love a themed cake. Have fun with it!

I just recently did Cake Truffles for a Preschool Fair. My friend (who ran the show) says that they were the first things gone from the table. (6 pcs. boxed and labeled, real cute with a nice ribbon, attached a bs card too!) People opened the boxes right there and ate them- which made everyone else scramble to buy the rest!!!

I've also done smaller themed cakes like Spiderman face (thing he's on my website) and a small 8' round ladybug cake. Something fast and easy and as suggested before...travels easily.

Pick what you want to showcase what you feel your talent is (I've seen your gallery, so your options are pretty wide open!!!!!)

Do you have mini loaf pans?? You could make mini cakes and frost them with bag striping in valentines or st. patricks day colors. They would be small enough and not too sloppy...
