Martha's calls for 4 sticks (1 lb) of butter, I cut it to 3 sticks (12oz) because it was just too buttery a mouth feel to me. I also added the half capful of orange extract to cut the sweetness, it also adds a fresh taste to me. You already know this I imagine, but the Kahlua will change the color of your IMBC to an ivory shade.
I know what you mean about buying the Kahlua. I feel that way when I go in to the liquor store and ask for Everclear. I always feel the need to explain that I am not drinking it, but using it to paint gumpaste flowers. They kind of look at me like "Yeah, sure lady" ![]()
