You probably know this, but you can also use JoAnn's coupons at Michael's. If you sign up to get the JoAnn's preferred customer acct. you get coupons in the mail and through email - I have more than I know what to do with and I sew, paint and do cakes. I rarely even use the one in the Sunday paper.
My Michael's ad has a 50% off good on Sunday only and a 40% off good for the rest of the week.

Yes.. I looked for mine today (as I do faithfully every Saturday) and in Michigan, we have 2 - 50% off coupons. a 1 Day only (Sunday) and another 50% coupon, which will be for 2 Days only. In addition, there is the typical 40% off coupon.
Needless to say I WILL be stocking up.

I have never followed the airbrush debates up until this point as I thought they would be too expensive for me....however....are you all saying that I can purchase an airbrush system from Michaels? Isn't there a specific kind of system needed for cakes? Or does everyone use a standard airbrush system with airbrush colours for cakes?
Very interesting......
You can use any airbrush, you just have to make sure the compressor isn't so strong it blows holes in the cake. A psi between 10-20 will usually do the trick.
The airbrush is usually sold separately from the compressor, but Kopykake packages them together.
DH has a full-sized compressor with a regulator in the garage, so I just set it on the pressure I need and run the hose into the kitchen. Next summer I will will probably spend the money for my own compressor so I don't have to let all the hot air from the garage in.
