Finished Light Saber Cake

Whew--finished a light saber-shaped cake for a little boy's BD at 11:00 this AM. I think it turned out pretty good. I don't like the way the board is covered, this was mom's suggestion.

Looks great! You did a nice job. The color of the board really compliments the color of the light saber.

Traci--
The cake is primarily buttercream. The only fondant is the black on the handle and red button. Thanks for all the compliments, mom called after to party to gush over the response for the cake. When I delivered the cake this AM, as I was getting into my car, the little boy said to his mom, "I love my cake."

Mom usually decorates the cakes for her kids (I did an anniversary cake for her parents last year), so I was really proud of this one.
