Arghhh Can You Spare Some Prozac Please?

I have been contracted to do my first wedding cake for an actual paying customer and she is driving me bananas! I don't need sympathy at this point I need PROZAC!!!
A woman was advertising on craigslist to have someone make her sister's wedding cake. I didn't want to do it but a friend who loves my cakes told me to go for it. I told her I would help her find someone but wasn't licensed to sell her a cake. That didn't matter so I said I would do it. The sister stated it would be a 3 tier buttercream cake with strawberry cream cheese, german chocolate and white with cream cheese in the different layers.
We went through design after design - email back and forth - 10 in all. Finally she decided on the cake (the sister did NOT the bride). We set up a cake tasting for tonight and I show up with the 3 she wanted plus 3 different flavor combinations using my own white and chocolate cakes. I had never made the strawberry cake before in my life and after finally finding a recipe made it and covered it with cream cheese.
Anyway, the bride and groom are there with no sister and it turns out that the bride didn't request any of those flavors. She said my white cake didn't even taste like cake and my chocolate wasn't chocolatey enough. The strawberry was a duncan hines with jello in it and the white was my durable cake mix and my chocolate was from scratch. She has now decided on the strawberry and cream cheese for 2 layers - the buttercream has changed to fondant and the middle layer will be german chocolate cake using a duncan hines chocolate cake mix because that to her is a cake. Ohh yeah and the strawberry cake needs to be tinted red like her bridesmaid's dresses!! I am talking BLOOD RED!!
I go through so much trouble to make cakes from scratch and she only wants a cake made from a box. It turns out that the sister is just a teenager!! To top it off - the cake design has changed AGAIN!!! I've now completely had enough. I also figure this cake will now cost me no more than $50 to make and I am charging her $250. $200 for aggrivation sounds about right to me.
I hope you got a contract and deposit she could be a bridezilla. Most people are raised on mixes and dont seem to enjoy the texture of most scratch cakes.
I would prefer to do scratch all the time but sometimes you just can't please folks.
Relax do it their way and enjoy the experience if you can.
Debbie
