I was asked to make a cinderella cake for my bosses daughter...however I would like. I want to do the carriage and the mice and pumpkins and then maybe give her a cinderella doll. Or do you think I should just do the typicall cinderella cake with her face--you know the wilton pan with the blue and white dress....Thanks in advance.

how much are you charging for the cake- because that is ahuge difference in time, cost and skill level.

The cake Lexy posted by Debbie Brown is adorable. I like the more 3D type cakes myself.

What about the doll cake? You know using the wondermold? Can you get a cinderella doll pick for that? I dont know maybe it is just barbie? I am sure she would love the wilton cake pan one, but i personally just dont like doing the character pans.

I usually charge $40-$50 for the cake...I know that they are usually worth more but because I am still just getting my feet wet I charge less. I like to use these cakes to try and push what I can do creatively...hope that helps

yeah, i like the doll cake that merissa suggested. if you want to you could mold a few mice and pumpkins/vines out of fondant, maybe a few buttons, needle and thread...glass slipper....what ever you think would add to the effect.
this would be nicer than a flat pan (do you already have it?) - if you dont hve the wonder mold, use a stainless steel or pyrex bowl. you could make mmf to keep your cost low and then dont forget a pretty ribbon (maybe some crystal beeds dangling $3 at walmart) on the cakeboard.
