I seen others on this board discuss how they ship cakes. My question is can you ship a decorated cake with flowers and bows or does it have to be a flat surface? Do you freeze the cake, if so for how many hours? I been asked to make a lot of cakes for people but they've mostly been out of state. Thanks!

I have only shipped one cake, it is the pink martini cake in my pictures. It shipped well except the pink ball border completely came off and they were all rolling around the box. I would be nervous about shipping anything with flowers. Bows might be ok if you leave tisse paper or something in the loops to support them.
