Well I had my first course 2 class tonight. After class I had to get something in the baking supplies isle. I am looking and there are two other girls in the isle looking and asking another girl questions about this and that. So I am listening to the convo. Than the other girl couldn't answer the question so I jump and help them out. These girls have never worked with what they were going to try, and they keep telling me it can't be that hard. I said well if you read it over and research before you do anything than yeah it can be easy. These girls wanted to make gumpaste babies for a cake. I said well it can get a little tricky, mind you I havent even tried figures yet, have done a few flowers. So I said what about a half a sheet cake with the baby carriage on top of it? That is pretty easy and simple. I than asked them what they were looking to spend on a cake? They tell me they have a budget, I said well I would work with them on it. I offered this bc I have all my suppiles and what not. They took my name and number and said they would think it over. I said okay. So I go back to get my stuff I was there trying to get, but I had to be a nosey buddy. I get what I have to and than I had to go back to the other isle. There they are with everything to make the cake I told them about. After I got doen and thought about it more. I thought damn I am stupid! But than I had a great laugh! I thought well by the time they are done buying the things they need for this one time cake, they are going to go over and beyond their "Budget!" So I thought this was funny and had to share. One thing I learned don't go into detail about how they could an easy cake! But hey maybe they will call and let me do the cake after all. Lesson learned for me! Hope you got something out of my nosey night!
That is very nice of you! I did that once--This lady was buying candy melts and she said I will just use the liquid coloring from the grocery store. I chimed in and said that it would seize up probably and she just said well I did it before.
I just tried to move past her husband and child hogging the aisle. I just keep my mouth shut because I guess i do not know what I am talking about!
